Questions Parents Ask Most
Is my child too young or too shy to start?
While age 4 is our standard starting point, you are welcome to bring in a younger child for a free intro class if you think they may be ready. For shy students, taekwondo is a great way to build comfort over time through positive coaching, consistent routines, and strong peer connections in class.
Do we need experience before joining?
No experience is required. All we ask is a willingness to learn, whether your student is excited on day one or still building confidence and getting comfortable with something new.
How often should students attend each week?
We recommend a minimum of 3 classes per week. The more consistently students train, the faster their skills, conditioning, and confidence improve.
What should we wear for the trial class?
Comfortable athletic clothes and a water bottle are perfect for the trial class.
How does belt testing work?
Testing is held each quarter, and students must meet a minimum class attendance requirement to qualify. Progress comes from consistent practice in class and at home, especially with required skills and forms.
Can adults start as complete beginners?
Yes. Most adults begin as complete beginners, and classes are structured so you can build skill, fitness, and confidence at a steady pace in a supportive environment.
